Use the preset, not a guess
Social sites crop photos to fixed frames. A square Instagram post, a portrait feed image, a story, and a YouTube thumbnail are different canvases. Starting from the preset avoids uploading a photo that gets cut off in the preview.

Cover versus contain
Cover fills the frame and crops the edges. Use it for feed photos when the subject is already centered. Contain fits the whole image inside the frame and leaves bars if the aspect ratio does not match.
Check the preview before you download. Faces, logos, and captions near the edge are the first things Cover will remove.
Export and post
Download the JPG and upload that file, not the original. If you also need a caption burned into the picture, use Add Text on Image after the resize so the type sits inside the final frame.
