Start with a simple mark
A favicon is tiny. Fine detail, long words, and thin lines disappear at 16 pixels. Use a square logo or a single symbol with a clear silhouette.
Upload that image in the Favicon Generator. Toolara exports 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 180, 192, and 512 pixel PNGs.
Download the pack
Download individual PNGs, or grab the ZIP. The ZIP includes the named files browsers expect, such as favicon-32x32.png and apple-touch-icon.png, plus an HTML snippet.
Put the PNG files in the site root, or update the href paths if they live in another folder.
